an excerpt from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince page 479:
"But he understood at last what Dumbledore had been trying to tell him. It was, he thought, the difference between being dragged into the arena to fact a battle to the death and walking into the arena with your head held high. Some people, perhaps, would say that there was little to choose between the two ways, but Dumbledore knew - and so do I, thought Harry, with a rush of fierce pride, and so did my parents - that there was all the difference in the world."
the following is an excerpt from the harry potter and the order of the phoenix... i really like this part a lot.. but reading this will also unveiled things that you might not wanna know if you haven't read the book and planning to read it... so.. if you wanna read them.. highlight them and it should show you what's written =)
'SIRIUS!' he bellowed. 'SIRIUS!'
'He can't come back, Harry,' said Lupin , his voice breaking as he struggled to contain Harry. 'He can't come back, because he's d-'
'HE - IS - NOT- DEAD!' roared Harry. 'SIRIUS!'
There was movement going on around them, pointless bustling, the flashes of more spells. To Harry it was meaningless noise, the deflected curses flying past them did not matter, nothing mattered except that Lupin should stop pretending that Sirius - who was standing feet from them behind that old curtain - was not going to emerge at any moment, shacking back his dark and eager to re-enter the battle.
Lupin dragged Harry away from the dais. Harry, still staring at the archway, was angry at Sirius now for keeping him waiting -
the following paragraph, to me is one of the best ever written...
But some part of him realised, even as he fought to break free from Lupin, that Sirius had never kept him waiting before ... Sirius had risked everything, always, to see Harry, to help him ... if Sirius was not reappearing out of the archway when Harry was yelling for him as though his ife depended on it, the only possible explanation was that he could not come back ... that he really was -
it's a really good book to read... in fact... the whole series.. up to this fifth book.. has been a great read... no wonder one of work colleague read the book twice... =)
Sometimes I wonder How I'd ever make it through, Through this world without having you I just wouldn't have a clue
'Cause sometimes it seems Like this world's closing in on me, And there's no way of breaking free And then I see you reach for me
Sometimes I wanna give up I wanna give in, I wanna quit the fight And then I see you, baby And everything's alright, everything's alright
When I see you smile I can face the world, oh oh, you know I can do anything When I see you smile I see a ray of light, oh oh, I see it shining right through the rain When I see you smile Oh yeah, baby when I see you smile at me
Baby there's nothing in this world that could ever do What a touch of your hand can do It's like nothing that I ever knew
And when the rain is falling I don't feel it, 'cause you're here with me now And one look at you baby Is all I'll ever need, you're all I'll ever need
Sometimes I wanna give up I wanna give in, I wanna quit the fight And then I see you baby And everything's alright, everything's alright
