I had a dream...

This morning, I wake up feeling devastated. I dreamt that I went on a driving trip with my partner, my youngest brother and my sister somewher (on the mountain).. We were just hanging out in the living room in a pretty but old resort when my other brother called and asked where we are.. So we chat and chat and he said he wanted to come along, so we end up driving back to Melbourne, picked him up and we were leaving, we met couple other friends, talked bout this weekend trip that we're having, then they sort of wanted to come along, so we had to prepare more stuffs - food and all... and as we are leaving, the same thing happen again, some other bunch of people wanted to go to - at this stage, I remember it even includes my high school friends whom I haven't met for couple years now... so we prepare and prepare.. in the end there are like ~30 people who are going and guess what, just as we're discussing the route to go prior to leaving together - my alarm wakes me up!!!
not so happy bout that....

oh well, it's just a dream, and it triggers my mind to plan for weekend trip... =) so, who knows, i might get something out of this...

mmm.. i'm thinking, balloon ride? sky diving? trip to mt dandenong - incl cuckoo n mrs marples tearoom? trip to mornington peninsula? mmmm been there... but it was nice ... dun mind going again =P fishing trip? scuba diving? hiking? arghhhh... i simply long for a holiday... pull it together!!! two more weeks and i'll be off to Tasmania... yippppeeeeeeeeee!!! =D

It’s a fascinating country and I definitely want to visit again sometime soon!

"Work toward"

Fighting against something is not a very good way to avoid it. For by your efforts to fight it, you give it more power in your life.

Seek instead to create a positive alternative. Make the negative situation irrelevant by building an even more powerful positive force.

The best response to hostility and anger is not more hostility and anger. The best response is a new vision and energy that will move everyone to a more valuable and creative place.

Choose to transcend the fight, and then you can make your way forward unhindered and unopposed. Take the energy of the situation and re-direct it toward positive, productive pursuits.

When you feel the urge to fight, whether against another person, a difficult situation, or your own weakness, stop and reconsider. Instead of fighting against, is there something even more compelling that you can work toward?

Almost always, there is. And the moment you choose it, you're already moving quickly ahead.
-- Ralph Marston

"What's in it for them?"

The best way to gain the support and cooperation of others is to ask yourself this question: What's in it for them? A sincere and substantive answer to that question is better than money in the bank.

When you can offer real value, you'll have no problem getting real value in return. Remember, though, that real value is more than empty promises. Real value is more than hype, more than the mere appearance of value.

Avoid focusing too much on what you're offering or what you need. Instead, consider what they're getting. What can you do to truly make it more valuable?

Who stands to benefit more than you from the achievement of your goals, and why? Great fortunes are made by people who can answer that question.

snapshot of my hectic life

Last couple weeks have been extremely packed for me...
I feel as if I practically don't have space to breathe.. At work, has been faced with a tight deadline on the project I'm working on in Development plus all other things keep on happening around the Support area..... busy busy busy...
It feels good to be busy at work though.. cause the time really flies... I don't even have time to check if it's almost 5 pm or not!!! Lately, it's more 'Ooppss.. it's 6!! I better go..' =) hehe and it makes me feel useful too...
Outside of the work life, I've been extremely busy too.. Been researching investment area... Not sure which one to go with... I think I'm more a 'property person' than a 'share person'... I just can't handle the heart attack that a share person will be receiving almost all the time... :P The thing is.. property person need more money initially... The other thing is, I've read in one of the investment guide book 'Don't put all eggs in one basket - as it increases the risk' which I can totally agree with... mmm maybe I should look around more.. before I decide on anything...
Any ideas, people? =)
Caught up with deasy over the weekend - which was really nice... had Creme Caramel at the newly renovated Crown's Greco... YUMMMYYYYYY it's really really really really good.... I really think Creme Caramel is my favorite dessert.. =P haha... The newly renovated Greco Cafe is actually nice... but the price is dearer than it used to be.. =( not nice... and I didn't get ice cream with my Creme Caramel.. :P as if the Creme Caramel is not fattening enough! =)
Haven't had a chance to reply my bessies' emails... feels really bad.. I should do it.. it's just kinda difficult to start telling the stories.. .there are too many things i feel like telling but writing them in email is just not as fun as gathering up with them and just yell everything out.. =) the problem is... they're all kinda far away.. haha =) so i'll have to deal with emails anyway...
that's all for now.. till next post!

"friendship quotes"

"I get by with a little help from my friends."
-- John Lennon

"Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow.
Don't walk behind me, I may not lead.
Walk beside me and be my friend."
-- Albert Camus (also attributed to Maimonidies). Sent by clovers.

"Friendship is a pretty full-time occupation,
if you really are friendly with somebody.
You can't have too many friends
because then you're just not really friends."

"A friend with break your heart,
a friend will mend it,
a friend will provide you with every feeling in the world, good and bad.
A friend is emotion incarnate."

a reminder quote just when i needed it most...

Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.
-- Unknown

i tend to forget that people think and behave differently from one another.. as a individual, every one of us have different strong and weak points... today, i kinda feel it's like a wake up call.. i shouldn't have forced someone to think and act like me... cause it might not be the best way... in fact, it is most likely to be not the best way to behave...

sigh... i have to really learn to trust and respect someone else... before i can ask that person for anything...

sydney photos

- my sydney weekend trip -

i just had such a fabulous weekend.. went to Sydney for a two day trip and met couple of old friends!!! other than that, also got to enjoy the krispy kreme doughnuts!!! yummm.... and to think that this is sort of the first time i actually do something this big without prior planning!!! =D spend quite a lot though.. especially on food.. haha =D but i had such a great time i don't really mind!!!
i'm actually trying hard to put up some pictures but blogger doesn't really want to work with me!!! everytime i upload the pic it gave me error message!!! grrrr....
during my 2 day trip in Sydney - i got to meet Tasha, Nicko, Airine, Fenny and got to talk on the phone with Octojohn!!! hahaha.. it was so funny... cause out of these five old friends of mine, only Airine and Tasha whom i actually called to meet up... i met Fenny in Market City's Esprit shop.. she works there only during weekends -what are the odds?? then Nicko - he turns out to be Tasha's friend too!!!! wow.... such a small world... and the one with smallest odd of all, Octojohn!!! he actually works in the hotel that i stayed in!!!! imagine that!!! of all the hotels that exist in Sydney, i actually stayed in the one that he works at, and of all the days he work, the one nite i actually stayed in that hotel, he works too !!! but such a shame i didn't get to actually meet him in person, he was actually nice enough not wanting to wake me up ! :P hahaha =D
anyway... it was really great... it's funny how even spending couple minutes with one of ur old friends can feel sooooo meaningful... and make u feel extremely happy! =D

Daily Quote for 4th Mar 06

Nations have recently been led to borrow billions for war; no nation has ever borrowed largely for education... no nation is rich enough to pay for both war and civilization. We must make our choice; we cannot have both.

sunny side up

yesterday on my way home, when i got to platform 2 in Parliament train station, as usual, i looked for my iPaq to put on some music. guess what? i looked and i looked and "Grrrr"!!! I left them at my office!!!! *not happy at all* i left them on my desk next to my computer's monitor!! mmmm now i know why my bag felt kinda light n empty... i had to walk all the way back to the office to get it before i could go home..
as i was walking back to the office, i gave lia, my dearest gal pal a call just to blabber... hehe =) as soon as she answered the call i go on n complain bout the fact that i left my iPaq in my office... not really complaining.. more sharing my feeling.. =) i told here - i wasn't happy!!! and u know what my darling n understanding friend said? she said that 'well, look at the bright side... at least u realised it before u got home... imagine if u had found out at 10 pm nite time... u would have gone nuts panicking bout ur iPaq...'
she's so goddamn rite.. if it had been at nite time... i would have come all the way from my home to my office anyway... hehe.. i am that kind of person.. i goes paranoid thinking bout stuffs that i needn't worry bout... haha i won't be able to relax until i've got my iPaq back in my hand... and she actually made me feel thankful that i realised it earlier than later, instead of angry because i had to walk all the way back to the office...
i'm so thankful that i have such a friend to remind me to look at the bright side of things.. often, in our life, when we are faced with small difficulties, we complain and complain and complain without realising, it's not a major thing to complain bout... why bother ruin ur mood over such a small thing?

the lesson of the day is, look at the bright side! =D

Learn from life - Ralph Marston

Read ahead, I really couldn't agree more with this...

"Life has important lessons to teach you today. Some of those lessons will be enjoyable, many of them will be a bit painful, and when the day is over you'll be wiser for them all.

Each person you meet today has something to teach you. Though they may make you somewhat angry, impatient, uncomfortable or frustrated at the time, those lessons are sure to be of much value.

Every situation in which you find yourself has something to teach you. Keep that in mind as you work your way through them all, and look for the positive value that you can retain.

Life becomes increasingly fulfilling when you choose to learn each lesson it has to teach. As you grow in wisdom, the difficulties will become less difficult to live through, and the joys will become more profound.

In triumph, in tragedy, in joy and in disappointment there are always valuable, positive lessons you can learn. As you learn more of what life has to teach, many of the things that once held you back will lose their power to do so.

Choose to respond to each encounter, each situation, and each challenge of this day in a way that will enable you to learn something new. Accept the lessons that life offers, and you'll quickly find them to be of great value."
